# Mexen Privacy Policy **Last updated: 26 September 2026** This privacy policy explains how HoefSoft ("HoefSoft", "we", or "us") handles personal data when you use the mobile game Mexen. ## 1. Data processed by Mexen Mexen does not require a separate Mexen account, and we do not actively collect information such as your name, postal address, telephone number, or email address. You can connect the app to an existing Google Play Games profile. Google manages that profile, which is created outside Mexen through your Google account. Mexen uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may automatically process data including: - device and advertising identifiers; - your IP address and an approximate location derived from it; - device, operating-system, language, and app-version information; - interactions with the app and advertisements, such as app launches, taps, video views, impressions, clicks, and rewards; - diagnostic and technical information needed to deliver advertisements correctly and securely; - your consent and privacy choices. The exact data processed may depend on your device settings, location, and privacy choices in the app. If you are signed in to Google Play Games, Mexen uses Google Play Games Services and Saved Games to associate limited game data with your profile and synchronize it between devices. This includes data such as games played, gameplay statistics, eligible play time, and saved progress. Google may process your Play Games profile, gamer identity, or a technical user identifier for this purpose. If you are not signed in or synchronization is unavailable, game data is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain our own user database containing this profile or game data. ## 3. Purposes Data is processed to: - display advertisements in Mexen and finance the app; - measure advertisements and app interactions, prevent fraud and abuse, and operate the advertising service; - record and apply your privacy choices; - sign you in to Google Play Games and synchronize or restore game progress and statistics; - comply with legal obligations. We do not use advertising data to build our own personal user profiles, and we do not sell personal data ourselves. ## 4. Personalized and non-personalized advertising Depending on your consent, advertisements may be personalized using previous activity and inferred interests. If you do not consent to personalization, Google may show non-personalized or limited ads. Limited technical data may still be processed to deliver ads, limit frequency, produce reports, and prevent fraud. Where consent is legally required, we request it before using personal data or device storage for personalized advertising. You can change your choice through the privacy options in Mexen where that option is available or required, and through your device's advertising settings. ## 5. Legal bases For personalized advertising and the use of device storage or identifiers where consent is required, processing is based on your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect earlier processing. Strictly necessary technical processing, security, fraud prevention, and compliance with legal obligations may be based on legitimate interests or a legal obligation where applicable law permits. ## 6. Service providers and recipients Mexen uses: - **Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK**, provided by Google Ireland Limited for users in the European Economic Area and Switzerland, or the applicable Google entity elsewhere; - **Google Play Games Services and Saved Games**, for authentication with an existing Play Games profile and synchronization of game data; - advertising-technology partners listed in the consent screen, where you can grant or refuse consent when required. These parties may process data as independent controllers or service providers under their own terms and privacy policies. International transfers Google and advertising partners may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, appropriate safeguards must be used, such as an adequacy decision or European Commission-approved standard contractual clauses. Consult the relevant partner's privacy policy for details. ## 8. Retention We do not maintain a directly identifiable Mexen user database. Google and advertising partners set their retention periods according to processing purposes, settings, and legal obligations. Local game data normally remains on your device until you clear the data or remove Mexen. Data synchronized through Google Play Games Saved Games is retained by Google according to the settings and retention rules of your Google account and Play Games profile. ## 9. Children Mexen is not intended to knowingly collect children's personal data. If you are below the age at which you may consent independently in your country, use the app only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Contact us if you believe a child's data was processed incorrectly through Mexen. ## 10. Your privacy rights and deletion Depending on applicable law, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. You may also withdraw consent. Because we do not maintain Mexen user accounts and advertising data is generally processed by Google or advertising partners, we may not be able to identify data linked to you independently. We will provide reasonable assistance and may direct your request to the appropriate party. Mexen does not provide a separate in-app method for submitting a deletion request to us. For data managed independently by Google, use your Google account, Google Play Games profile, and advertising-preference settings, or contact Google directly.
